About Dan
A perpetual creative technologist and systems thinker. Always playing, always building, and always after the same thing: a bit more joy and wonder in people's lives.
I'm Dan Rummel. I build the software, the electronics and the controllers behind interactive art: the parts that keep a sculpture awake night after night. The engineering is the fun of it, but what I'm really after is the moment someone wanders up to a piece and realizes it noticed them.
I'll use whatever a piece asks for. Addressable LEDs, Art-Net, pattern engines, Raspberry Pis, Chromatik/LX, and a long list of things I had never touched until a project needed them. That last part is most of why I keep doing this: every piece talks me into learning something I would never have gone looking for on my own.
Fibonacci Arts is the art half. The other half is at Fibonacci Labs, and I'm on LinkedIn.
